Personal Branding: Defining the Designer
In defining myself as a designer and establishing my personal brand, I pursued a simple and effective typographic mark to represent who I am and the design work that I do.
Project Brief
I enjoy designing fun spaces with color, interaction, and points of neutrality. I always complete tasks and am very punctual. My logo represents the playfulness in which I design and my approach toward life. In designing a personal brand for myself, I chose to leverage a typographic logo mark. The period at the end of the “t” letterform derives from the “i” in “Gabriella.” When nestled together, the tittle leads the eye upward to the curve of the “t.” In selecting fonts, I experimented with various combinations, but parterned Baskerville with Avenir as my final selection. Color exploration led me to select green as representative of my designs. As a designer just starting out, I want my logo to be simple and effective, but represent who I feel I am after my educational training.
